EXPO: FROM IDEA TO INTERACTION
From entertainment and compelling stories to bringing people together and innovative applications in healthcare and education, games are all around us. Behind every game is a multidisciplinary team of creators.
In this exhibition, you discover how game artists, game designers, and developers (programmers) work together to bring that very first, analog idea to life. Dive into the entire game-making process: watch, play, and join. This way, you’ll experience how crafts, creativity, and technology work together.
From entertainment and compelling stories to bringing people together and innovative applications in healthcare and education, games are all around us. About 80 percent of the Dutch population plays games, and entire generations have grown up with them. It has evolved into a cultural phenomenon, a gaming culture, that strongly influences media, technology, and everyday life.
This exhibition is created in collaboration with the game design program at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) and its research and development lab (R&D-lab), Cradle. While the game design program has been training top talent worldwide for years, students, researchers, and professionals at Cradle are at the forefront of using artificial intelligence and virtual reality to build applied games and digital worlds.
