From 14 to 22 November in 2026, Breda transforms into the ultimate playground for everything games.

More than just an event, Dutch Game Week is a dynamic celebration of games, game art and development, publishing, esports, applied gaming and immersive technology.

Dutch Game Week attracts a broad and passionate audience: from indie developers and leading studios to investors, students, freelancers and game enthusiast. A week where professionals and the public come together to exchange ideas, discover new talent and celebrate the power of games.

The 2026 edition includes talks, industry meet-ups, showcases, workshops, expos, tournaments and more. And with the Dutch Game Week Conference and Dutch Game Awards both taking place on 19 + 20 November at Chassé Theater, this year’s edition is shaping up to be our most exciting yet.

Info Playgrounds

Since its debut in 2023, Playgrounds has been the driving force behind Dutch Game Week (formerly known as Breda Game Week), bringing together key players from Breda’s vibrant gaming scene – part of an (inter)national hub for applied technology and creativity.

Why Breda?

Breda is the international hotspot where games, creativity, and technology come together. Over 4,000 students study video games, digital arts, esports, and immersive media, including the world-renowned Creative Media and Game Technologies degree at BUas, ranked among the top three worldwide. With initiatives like the B’Game Incubator and the Esports Talenthub by TeamNL, Breda is a thriving hub for creators, startups, and creative entrepreneurs.
