EXPO PLAYABLES
Playables is an independent game studio based in Zürich, Switzerland, founded by artist and game creator Michael Frei and game designer and developer Mario von Rickenbach. Combining minimalist, hand-drawn aesthetics with playful interaction, their work explores human behaviour, everyday rituals and the absurdities of life.
During Dutch Game Week 2026, discover a curated selection of their work and experience first-hand what makes Playables one of the most distinctive voices in independent game design at Chassé Theater from 31st of October till 29th of November.
Games on show:
🪰 Time Flies | A little adventure about our limited time in this world. Wry, contemplative and unexpectedly moving, play as a fly and make the most of your very short life.
👔 Pocket Boss | Who says work and play don’t mix? Handle fun data puzzles, satisfy your not-so-fun boss and work your way up the corporate ladder, one swipe at a time.
👶 KIDS | A short interactive animation about crowds, movement and what happens when you move with, or against, the masses. Screened at Berlinale and Annecy, and awarded at the IGF.
