DAFNE WIEGERS

Dafne Wiegers is a Dutch architect and partner at AHH in Amsterdam. She graduated with a design for an early Esports HQ for Fnatic in 2017: before there HQ’s became mainstream.

What to expect?

Dafne will talk about how architecture can strengthen communities in the age of gaming. Drawing from her designs for Team Liquid and MOUZ headquarters, she will show how physical spaces can foster focus, community, and togetherness: values often associated with the digital world.

Her talk explores what schools, cultural centers, and workplaces can learn from gaming spaces: how to design environments that people want to be in, rather than retreating behind their screens.

Bio Dafne Wiegers

Dafne has designed HQ’s for international Esports teams like Team Liquid and MOUZ, creating environments that blur the line between living, working, and playing. Her work explores how physical space can enhance focus, collaboration, and identity within digital culture.

Beyond esports, Dafne works on educational and cultural buildings, from schools to libraries, always searching for what she calls hybrid space: places that connect online and offline communities.
