Twirlbound is a game development company based in Breda, known for their lively, vibrant worlds in which action and adventure lurk around every corner. Joining the Dutch Game week is designer Sasha Lewis.
During her talk Sasha will take a closer look at the design of Twirlbound’s latest game The Knightling. The Knightling is an open-world, action/adventure game in which you embody a knight in training with nothing but a shield at your disposal. You’ve got to glide, slide, block and toss with just your shield while you’re clearing encounters in a colorful world.
Sasha is a game designer who focuses on level design and worldbuilding. She creates the space you play in and answers questions such as ‘where does the player go?’ and ‘how does the player get there?’. Together with her team, she defines the world of the game.
“It has been amazing to work on The Knightling. My coworkers are extremely talented and creative which makes it really easy to be inspired. I feel genuinely lucky to have The Knightling be my first commercial title, I feel like it was made with a lot of love and passion by a team that cares almost too much at times.
